First Partner to Achieve 9-1-1 Adviser Certification

PENSACOLA, Fla., Sept. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Smart Horizons announced today that CTS America, a locally based public safety software company, has achieved a Gold certification for their SmartCAD product. 9-1-1 Adviser, a multidiscipline call handling system, allows public safety answering points (PSAP’s) to accurately and efficiently triage emergency calls. After an intensive verification process, SmartCAD has proven to effectively integrate with 9-1-1 Adviser.

The 9-1-1 Adviser certification program offers Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels of certification with Gold delivering the highest level of interoperability. The level awarded is determined by the number of optimum implementations demonstrated for each functional requirement. “We developed a comprehensive procedure having criteria that allows the level of interoperability to be quickly determined,” says Clifton Smith, Senior Engineer for Smart Horizons Public Safety Department.
